145.31 Repeater Site
CLARA's second two meter repeater which has emergency power backup. Here are some 2007 photos of maintenance on the wind generator and general clean up at the facility.
Field Trip 2005
The 2005 field trip was to visit the Care Flight operations at Dayton's Miami Valley Hospital. CLARA members received a tour of the emergency room and the Care Flight helicopter.
Field Trip 2006
Our field trip for 2006 was to the B-17 restoration hangar at Grimes Field in Urbana, Ohio. The B-17 Flying Fortress, known as "Champaign Lady", is undergoing restoration with the final goal to fly. It will take several years to complete, using volunteers to perform all jig making and parts re-creation using original blue prints.

Field Trip 2009
Our field trip for 2009 was a followup visit to the B-17 restoration hangar at Grimes Field in Urbana, Ohio. Workers have made progress since our last visit.
New HUD in OSP Cars
In 2007 the Ohio State Patrol began a test of a new Heads-Up-Display (HUD). This allowed troopers to manage the various functions within the cruiser via voice activation or touch screen.
One test cruiser was assigned to Springfield's Post 12. They were very gracious to bring the cruiser to our meeting location for a closer view.
EMA Trailer at the 2008 Fair
CLARA members support the Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) in Clark County.
ARES works very closely with the Clark County Emergency Management Agency (EMA). Here are some photos of their command center trailer when at the 2008 Clark County Fair.

New Hospital ARES Stations
The new Springfield Regional Medical Center is now open. Two ARES stations were an integral part of the emergency communications systems installed at the hospital.
145.31 Repeater Upgrade
CLARA's 145.31 repeater is in need of a new antenna system. We plan to install a DB-224E on top off the 110 ft. tower. Once the install is completed, we'll post photos
